Fight MND
Strategic, operational and fundraising plan development for one of Australia’s most successful contemporary organisations.
BACKGROUND
In 2015, if you were diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) there was nothing – no treatment – no drugs being trialed – no hope. However, three men facing MND in different ways came together in late 2014, committed to changing the game in MND. Fronted by AFL great, Neale Daniher, the FightMND Foundation’s Chairman Dr. Ian Davis and fellow Board Director Pat Cunningham launched into the Big Freeze – an event that would change the world for Australians with MND. So successful was their first year effort that they realised they needed a full scope of strategic planning to drive the organisation forward.
THE PROJECT
The Foundation was referred to DGB Group in late 2015 to facilitate a three-year growth strategic plan and associated consultancy on fundraising, governance structure and engagement with major philanthropists and Government.
By 2016, every element of the project scope was delivered and by 2017 the Foundation had gone on to raise $12million, with a further $10million in pledged donations.
WITHIN 5 YEARS, FIGHTMND RAISED OVER $50MILLION.
