Liam Waldie is an emerging artist based on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. His work primarily deals with the landscape often depicting where the ocean meets the land, or winding roads toward endless horizons. Liam’s current body of work ‘Remembered Landscapes’ represents the Australian landscape through a contemporary interpretation of impressionism and surrealism, recalling personal memories of time and place and selecting recognisable landforms in dreamlike mindscapes. Windows appear hidden in arbitrary places within his landscapes providing an escape from where we are or where we are going.

Liam works from his studio at Onshore Studios, Capel Sound and is represented by galleries in Victoria and NSW. He has exhibited in solo and group shows, commissioned artwork and is in private collections across Australia and overseas.
